Justin Fields’ next team odds have moved all over the place since they were released.
When DraftKings released their opening odds, the Falcons were right behind the Bears at +140 odds. Atlanta being considered the second most likely landing spot wasn’t shocking, but Chicago being the favorite was a bit surprising.
The Bears hold the No. 1 overall pick. Why would they keep Justin Fields? That’s exactly what the betting markets thought because the odds shifted dramatically in favor of another team, the Steelers.
The Steelers, with former Falcons head coach Arthur Smith, were the favorite to land Justin Fields at -125 odds after starting out at +550. The Falcons’ odds of acquiring Fields plummeted by a good bit at +550 at the time.
However, they’ve once again moved in considerable fashion. According to DraftKings, Atlanta is now a -130 favorite to be Justin Fields’ next team, followed by Pittsburgh at +350.

Now, I wouldn’t pay any mind to Fields unfollowing the Bears team account and following Falcons players, but the shift in betting odds is notable.
The Falcons are only going to continue to be connected to every available quarterback this offseason. The Bears can’t do anything with Fields until the new league year on March 13, so there will be nothing but rumors from now until then.
The idea of acquiring Fields is tantalizing to some, but I’m cooler on the idea than most. Firstly, denying his lack of development would be foolish. Secondly, the fit within Zac Robinson’s offense isn’t exactly obvious. Thirdly, the compensation a trade will cost and his contract situation isn’t exactly attractive.
We will see how the offseason develops.
