While the Falcons have managed to avoid any significant injuries, several players are dealing with minor issues, including star receiver Julio Jones. Prior to last week’s matchup versus the Cowboys, Jones was nursing a hamstring injury, and while it did not prevent him from playing, Dirk Koetter said yesterday that their might be a little more to it than initially expected.Â
Dirk Koetter said Julio Jones being held to two catches was affected by Dallas doubling him often. But he added, "I think there's something to the hamstring bothering him more than he's letting on."

Dan Quinn added to those concerns today, stating that Julio Jones did strain his hamstring further against the Cowboys, and they don’t know if he will be available this week versus the Bears.Â
Dan Quinn says Julio Jones strained his hamstring during Sunday's game, but the Falcons will take it "all the way through" the week.

That’s obviously disconcerting, especially entering a must-win Week 3 matchup against a very talented Bears defense. On the bright side, at least Atlanta’s #2 and #3 receiving options have proven they can carry the load if need be.Â
From the sound of it, it looks like Julio Jones will be a game-time decision. Most of the time, when this has happened over his career, he has somehow found a way to play… and play well. However, hamstring injuries are always something that must be approached with extreme caution.Â
