In some disappointing news Thursday morning, the Falcons placed tight end Jaeden Graham on Injured Reserve.

It doesn’t look like this is something Graham will be coming back from, either — at least not this season. The Athletic’s Tory McElhaney reports that he will miss the remainder of the year with a major knee injury.
Tough development regarding Graham: out for the year with a knee injury. https://t.co/DglTr65m6H

As far as wins and losses go, Graham may not have moved the needle much for the Falcons this year. Tight end is one of the strongest position groups on the team, and Graham was fighting for a spot on the 53-man roster. However, I was very interested to see how he developed under a tight end guru like Arthur Smith. We’ve seen flashes from Graham in the brief opportunities he has had on the field; he averaged 16.6 yards per catch back in 2019, but unfortunately, we won’t get to see how that experiment would have unfolded in 2021.
