The Falcons seem interested in a reunion with a veteran pass rusher.
According to Adam Schefter, Bud Dupree just completed a visit with the Chargers but has been talking with the Steelers and Falcons.
Free-agent LB Bud Dupree concluded a visit with the Los Angeles Chargers, per source. Dupree also has been talking with the Falcons and Steelers, two of the three NFL teams for which he has played.

The Falcons added three defensive linemen through the draft, including Bralen Trice, who can play a similar role as Dupree, so I’m not quite sure what the motivation behind a potential deal is.
Still, adding a proven pass rusher to the fold is never a bad thing. Dupree was tied with Calais Campbell as the team’s sack leader last year. After joining the Falcons on a one-year, $2.5 million deal, he enjoyed his best season since 2020.
I imagine he’s in line for a more lucrative deal than that, but I wouldn’t be mad about Bud Dupree coming back to Atlanta. However, I would be mad about the Falcons’ lack of attention to the secondary.
A proven commodity would go a lot further at cornerback and safety compared to an edge defender.
