The Falcons’ win over the Cowboys wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows; a couple of stars, Grady Jarrett and Drake London, went down with injuries.
Atlanta’s top pass catcher injured his hip on a highlight reel touchdown catch, while Jarrett left with an Achilles injury. Anytime that word enters the conversation, hearts skip a beat.
Thankfully, the heart and soul of the Falcons seemingly avoided serious injury. When speaking to the Atlanta media, Grady Jarrett said he feels “positive” and that he considers himself day-to-day.
DT Grady Jarrett says he feels “positive” after his MRI results came back on an Achilles injury. No tear. Jarrett says he considers himself day to day. #Falcons

The Falcons’ defense had one of its best outings against the Cowboys, so any injury on that side of the ball would halt momentum, especially for someone as important as Grady Jarrett.
The stalwart is coming off the first major injury of his career, tearing his ACL about halfway through the 2023 season. He’s logged 2.5 sacks and six tackles for loss this season, leading the team in sacks and second in TFLs.
It’s not yet clear if he’ll be available for the Falcons Week 10 contest in New Orleans, but his presence is needed. The Saints present a special challenge. The Falcons should beat them, but teams with fired head coaches are unpredictable, so having Jarrett on Sunday would make me feel a lot better about Atlanta’s chances of sweeping their rivals.
