The official NFL schedule release isn’t until Thursday evening, but the leaks are flowing. By the time the NFL releases the full schedule, half of it will have already been leaked. We already know two of the Falcons’ games, and we just got more good news pertaining to their contest against the Packers.
According to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, Green Bay will travel to Atlanta in a Week 2 matchup that will pit two young quarterbacks in Jordan Love and Desmond Ridder.
Packers' full 2023 schedule (per source):
– Five prime time games even without Rodgers
– Love's first game as full-time starter will be in Chicago
– Thanksgiving in Detroit
– Davante Adams vs. Packers for first time on MNF Week 5
– Super Bowl champs at Lambeau on SNF Week 13 pic.twitter.com/lBvES4Wlmf

This is good news for Falcons fans because they draw what is basically a rookie quarterback in Week 2, following another rookie quarterback in Week 1.
A new-look Falcons defense will get the first crack at Bryce Young and then Jordan Love in the following week. Ryan Nielsen and company have to be licking their lips. It’s a coordinator’s dream to start a new job with two relatively easy tasks.
The Falcons have the Jets on the schedule; imagine if they had to face Aaron Rodgers in Week 1 or 2 instead of Young or Love. That’s a gift because Atlanta hasn’t beaten Green Bay since 2017.
The pair have squared off twice since that contest, which the Packers have won by a combined score of 64-36. The Falcons will have an excellent chance to end that streak in September later this year.
