The Falcons are set to have around $56 million in cap space this offseason, and that figure could quickly balloon to nearly $70 million if Atlanta parts ways with Marcus Mariota. There isn’t a single position group that doesn’t need top-end talent or depth. Terry Fontenot and Arthur Smith are entering a critical juncture in their tenure with more cap space than ever. This continues a series of potential Falcons free agent targets, moving on to Isaac Seumalo. Below are past editions:

Falcons Free Agent Targets 2023: Isaac Seumalo
The Falcons offensive line was the biggest surprise of the 2022 season. It went from one of the worst units in 2021 to one of the best last season, with hardly any upgrade in personnel. Drew Dalman replaced Matt Hennessy, while Jalen Mayfield lost his starting job. A slew of players filled in at left guard, but the team needs to invest more in the offensive line, and Isaac Seumalo is a good choice.
He dealt with a ton of injuries in recent seasons but is coming off the best campaign of his career, earning Pro Bowl alternate honors. He was a part of one of the best offensive lines this past season with the Eagles. Atlanta would have to be confident in the medicals, but bringing in a proven high-quality starter opposite Chris Lindstrom would do wonders for the overall unit, and it seems that it won’t break the bank.
Spotrac projects a two-year deal worth just north of $24 million, and PFF sees it similarly with a three-year, $33 million projection. He’s played both left and right guard, so there’s no need to worry about where he slots into Atlanta’s line. In fact, during his rookie season, Seumalo took snaps at tight end, tackle, guard, and center. He’s been praised for his intelligence by his teammates. The fit seems to work, and he’s only 29 years old, so the timelines also match up.
