Falcons Free Agent Targets 2023: Dre’Mont Jones
The Falcons can go in a number of different directions this offseason, but most fans agree they’ll allocate a portion of salary cap funds to the defensive line. Dre’Mont Jones is an intriguing option. He’d be a polarizing choice because he excels as a pass rusher but leaves much to be desired as a run defender.
He’ll never be a great two-gapping interior player, but his ability to get to the quarterback has to interest a Falcons team that hasn’t scared a quarterback in a decade.
According to Spotrac, he has a market value of $7.2 million on an average per year basis, which is a more than reasonable figure for a player that finished the year with seven sacks, 33 hurries, and 45 pressures.
