Falcons: Drake London, Drew Dalman receive injury designation

Drake London Falcons

As the Falcons wrap up the week of practice and prepare to travel to New Orleans for their Week 10 contest against the Saints, the club released their final injury designations before Sunday.

There are only three names. JD Bertrand has already been ruled out with a concussion, while Drake London (hip) and Drew Dalman (ankle) were deemed questionable./

That’s really good news for several instances.

That means the Falcons are expecting Grady Jarrett and Troy Andersen to be full-go on Sunday. Jarrett left last week’s game with an Achilles injury, which is always scary. Andersen, on the other hand, hasn’t played since his breakout performance against the Saints earlier in the season.

Getting Andersen back is going to be a tremendous boost for the Falcons in more ways than one. Nate Landman’s lack of athleticism hinders him in pass coverage, an area in which  Andersen is much better, which will free up Kaden Elliss to rush the passer more often.

For Drake London, Raheem Morris told the Atlanta media earlier in the week that he expects the star wideout to play this weekend. As far as Drew Dalman, the Falcons starting center has been out since the first month of the season. In his place, Ryan Nuezil has started in his place admirably. He’s actually been pretty damn good in Dalman’s absence.

The Falcons will try to sweep the Saints in the season series for the first time since 2016, and they’ll be as healthy as they’ve been all season.
