The Falcons playoff hopes may have already vanished, but they still have an opportunity to get the better of their arch-rival this season, and they’ll have their quarterback back on Sunday to do so. According to William McFadden of the Atlanta Falcons team site, Matt Ryan is ready to roll for this weekend’s matchup with the Saints, but Desmond Trufant, who has been out since Week 5, will be a game-time decision.

Ryan suffered an ankle sprain in the Falcons loss to the Rams in Week 7, causing him to miss the next game against the Seahawks. In his place, Matt Schaub filled in admirably, throwing for over 450 yards. However, if the Falcons are going to have any chance of beating the 7-1 Saints on the road, they are going to need Ryan to have the game of his life because Lord knows this defense isn’t stopping anyone, especially a Drew Brees led offense.
