Finally, the Falcons received some positive news regarding injuries, as Deion Jones appears to be recovering well from his week 1 foot injury that forced him onto IR. Head coach Dan Quinn said Thursday that Jones is “on target” right now in his return.

Like Tabeek, the digital managing editor of the Atlanta Falcons, mentions, the earliest Jones can return from Injured Reserve is November 18th against the Cowboys. That means, at the very least, the Falcons will be without their Pro-Bowl linebacker for three more games.
However, all of those games are still very winnable and would put Atlanta back into the playoff picture of a wild NFC. The Falcons host the Giants before hitting the road at Washington and Cleveland and then return home to play Dallas. You have to think Atlanta would be happy entering their showdown against the Cowboys with a 4-5 record. At that point, a boost from Deion Jones might be exactly what the Falcons need to return to the playoffs for the third consecutive season.
