The Falcons have cleared house on Monday morning with the free agency negotiation period looming. Some cuts have been more predictable than others, but none more so than the team releasing Ty Sambrailo:
We have released T Ty Sambrailo. https://t.co/HMJdi9PYnM

Sambrailo was acquired from Denver a few years back for a fifth-round pick, and last offseason, the two parties agreed to a three-year extension. But just one year later, he has now been cut by the team, saving $3.7 million in cap space.
Sambarilo served as quality depth, and even a trick play option at times on the offensive line, but with so many needs, and the regrettable signings of Jamon Brown and James Carpenter last offseason, it was only a matter of time until this move occurred. Other cuts today have included Desmond Trufant and Devonta Freeman. We wish Ty the best going forward and eagerly await what Atlanta has in store for us this week on the transaction log.
