The Falcons may have some positive injury news on the horizon involving offensive weapon Cordarrelle Patterson, who was one of several players that went down with injuries Sunday against the Cowboys. A.J. Terrell and Foye Oluokun left the Dallas game momentarily and did return, but Jaylinn Hawkins and Hayden Hurst suffered ankle injuries that kept the former limited in practice yesterday while the latter was held out completely.
Still, none of those names are as critical to the Falcons’ overall success as much as Patterson. Sure, Hawkins is essentially a starter, so that’ll be a significant obstacle to overcome; however, the former All-Pro return man is much more vital to the Falcons winning. Patterson was present at practice today, according to Michael Rothstein.

There were also reports that Patterson was spotted running through drills without anything on his ankle from the picture below.

According to Tom Pelissero, Patterson suffered a severe ankle sprain and his status for Thursday’s matchup against New England is in doubt, but based on reports from Tuesday, it looks more realistic than before.
#Falcons RB Cordarrelle Patterson is still having his sprained ankle evaluated, but it doesn’t sound optimistic for Thursday night against the #Patriots, per source. Could be a couple weeks for one of this season’s most electric players.
