Former Falcons first-round pick Chris Lindstrom was deservedly named to the 2023 NFL Pro Bowl; it is his first time earning the honor.

Lindstrom has quickly supplanted Jake Matthews as the team’s best offensive lineman. A couple of months ago, I wrote about Lindstrom performing at an All-Pro level;Â all he’s done is continued the trend.
Lindstrom has been a driving factor in the Falcons’ potent rushing attack. The Boston College product was Pro Football Focus‘ highest-rated guard for some time, and from Week 11 until the bye week, he was perfect. This season should end with All-Pro honors for the fourth-year Lindstrom.
His ascension won’t come cheap, though. It was expected that the Falcons would pick up Lindstrom’s fifth-year option earlier this offseason, which is set to pay him $13.2 million in 2023, a bargain for a player of his caliber. Now, extension talks will be on the horizon. With the front office already investing in Grady Jarrett and Jake Matthews, you’d have to think Chris Lindstrom is a prime candidate to be next. He sees himself in Atlanta for a long time, and I imagine Arthur Smith feels the same way.
