The Falcons have a lot of holes still left to fill this offseason, but their special teams group is looking very good ahead of next season. Atlanta’s first move of the offseason was inking long-snapper Liam McCullough to a long-term contract extension. They then signed special teams ace Mike Ford earlier today, and now they’ve brought back their own special teams ace in KhaDarel Hodge, who signed a two-year contract worth $6 million.
Pro Bowl Special Teamer KhaDarel Hodge is returning to the #Falcons on a 2-year deal for $6M, source said.

Hodge made his first Pro Bowl this past season for his work on special teams, proving to be an impact player in several aspects of the third phase. He’s also an underrated wide receiver that saw action later in the year once Michael Penix Jr. took over as the team’s starting quarterback. The Falcons clearly value his work on special teams, but his chemistry with Penix could also result in him seeing more action in the offense. Hodge finished last season with 131 yards receiving on seven catches with one touchdown.
