Arthur Smith is officially the guy for the Falcons, and while I think his high use of pre-snap motion will bring Atlanta’s offense back to glory; I believe the attitude he is bringing is more encouraging. Quote via TheFalconsWire:
“The Falcons organization stood out to us in this process primarily due to the leadership and support from the top in Arthur Blank”
“His actions and core values provide a great model on how to operate for so many, and align with how I plan to move forward in reaching the levels of competition the passionate Atlanta fans so richly deserve. That will all start with the culture we as a team create and thrive in. I’m excited to get started on this new journey and cannot wait to see what the future holds for our city and its fans.”
Dan Quinn was big on “coach speak”, but it’s clear that Arthur Smith is a leader of men and is ready to get to work bringing this franchise back. Blank was loyal to Dan Quinn and Thomas Dimitroff to a fault, but it seems like the relationship so far is off to a great start. Hopefully, rumored general manager Terry Fontenot is on board with Smith and Blank so this organization can get to work scouting college talent and adding potential free agents with a tight cap sheet.
