With OTAs officially underway, the Falcons announced a roster move, adding running back Jeremy McNichols to the squad.
We have signed RB Jeremy McNichols.

McNichols spent time with Arthur Smith in Tennessee, where he’s played for the last two seasons, accumulating 360 total yards rushing on 88 carries. He also showed some chops as a receiver last year, hauling in 28 receptions for 240 yards out of the backfield.
Originally, McNichols was a fifth-round pick of the Bucs back in 2017. He’ll compete for a job this offseason, but it won’t be easy for him to make the roster with Damien Williams, Tyler Allgeier, Qadree Ollison, and Caleb Huntley in the mix. Cordarrelle Patterson will also undoubtedly receive carries next season, but this is another sign that the Falcons could be more focused on using him as a receiver rather than as a running back.
