According to Falcons head coach Arthur Smith, Deion Jones will not be with the team for the rest of the offseason:

This either means one of two things — Jones is injured or he is being cut or traded. I doubt Jones is being cut because there are no differences in financial implications if the Falcons do it before or after June 1st. The Falcons save a lot of money if Jones is traded after June 1st, but now that is likely off the table with it being announced that he is having shoulder surgery.
#Falcons LB Deion Jones underwent shoulder surgery and will miss the offseason workout program. Jones carries a large $20M cap number this season and there have been some rumblings about his future in Atlanta.

The Falcons are likely stuck with Jones until they can cut or trade him next offseason, assuming his play doesn’t improve. There’s no timetable for his return.
