Per Mike Garafolo of The NFL Network, the NFLPA told the players today that there would be no preseason games.
NFLPA leadership told players on a conference call a few minutes ago there will be zero preseason games this year, sources say. Not a surprise given the league offered that but now all but official, according to the union.

The two sides still have a lot to work out as far as economics and opt-outs, but this is a pretty big step towards there being a 2020 NFL season. However, it is also some pretty devastating news to a lot of players.
A massive chunk of the league is undrafted. It’s what makes the NFL so unique. This year, it’s going to be nearly impossible for UDFA’s to make rosters without any preseason games. It’s also grim news for any fringe players who needed these games to prove something — not just to their respective teams, but to all the organizations. Many players will lose opportunities because of this, and others will miss out on valuable experience heading into the regular season. It could be a sloppy first couple of weeks in the NFL without a preseason.
