Matt Ryan has a new Center. The Falcons have agreed to sign the three-time Pro Bowler to a five year pact. For those disappointed about the Falcons not making a “splash” in free agency, here it is. Center may not be the sexiest position on the field, but the Falcons definitely added a potential future Hall of Famer today. Mack is arguably the best Center in football, and Matt Ryan strived when he had Todd McClure on the line. The deal is reportedly worth around $9.5 million annually, according to Peter King:
Ex-Cle center Alex Mack will average @$9.5m in Atlanta deal. Could have made 500k more on ave in Cleve. Atl OC KShanahan a factor for Mack.

It’s no surprise he wanted out of Cleveland. He joins one of the most talented offensive units in football, which will be much further bolstered by the addition of one of the best lineman in the NFL. Welcome aboard, Alex!
