Earlier today, the Falcons announced the signing of defensive back Breon Borders. In a corresponding move, the team has released Jamal Peters.
Borders spent most of last season on the Chicago Bears practice squad. He was eventually promoted near the end of the season and appeared in one game. Over his career, he has appeared in 32 NFL games, including a career-high 12 games in 2021 with the Cardinals. Borders will compete for a 53-man roster spot, but if he does make the roster, his contributions will likely strictly be in the third phase of the game.
