The fourth-year corner out of Clemson is looking to further establish himself among the best players in the league. He’s already earned All-Pro honors but isn’t satisfied. Sustaining greatness is next, and health is the first step in that direction.
“I’m focused on taking care of my body,” Terrell said, via the team’s website. “The older we get, the more the body wants to shut down. I’m already starting to feel it and understand what the older guys have been talking about all these years. You have to respect the body and do what I’m supposed to do to be able to come out here and play at 100 percent.”
Despite never missing any serious time, Terrell is clearly taking the right approach to the game. Maturity is one of the last things to come around for youngsters, especially when it comes to taking care of their bodies. He only missed three games last year due to a hamstring injury, but he’s already taking precautions to minimize those risks, which is great news for the Falcons.
“It’s about pre-hab over rehab,” Terrell said, via the team’s website. “Even when I’m not hurt, I try to stay on top of things and do everything the right way.”
A.J. Terrell is already one of the best players at his position, and it’s little things like this that will separate him from the rest.
