With the Georgia Bulldogs season officially over, the focus now shifts to the transfer portal. Several Bulldogs have already entered with many more expected to join them in the coming days, while the Georgia staff gets busy attempting to bring new and experienced talent from other schools.
One area of concern as the Bulldogs look ahead to next season is wide receiver. Georgia lacked explosive playmakers this year after losing Ladd McConkey and Brock Bowers to the draft, and the receiver room will get even thinner with Dominic Lovett and Arian Smith joining them in the NFL next season.
Georgia has to get more experienced playmakers for Gunner Stockton, and all eyes are on Texas A&M’s Noah Thomas. He’s the top wide receiver in the transfer portal and recently took a visit to Athens, in which his family came away impressed, according to ON3 Sports’ Pete Nakos, who predicts Georgia will land the star wide receiver.
Texas A&M‘s Noah Thomas is the top available wide receiver in the transfer portal. He has 984 career receiving yards for 15 touchdowns, leaving College Station after the Aggies brought in transfer wide receivers KC Concepcion (NC State), Mario Craver (Mississippi State) and Micah Hudson (Texas Tech).
Thomas was at Georgia over the weekend, and sources tell On3’s Steve Wiltfong that the Bulldogs impressed Noah Thomas’ family. The Aggies are still doing everything they can to keep Thomas in College Station. I give the Bulldogs a slight edge because they landed a visit and impressed Thomas’ family.
Calling My Shot: Georgia
Confidence Level: LowUPDATE: On3’s Steve Wiltfong and I have logged predictions for Noah Thomas to land at Georgia.
The Bulldogs have already logged a commitment from USC’s Zachariah Branch, who will immediately be an impact playmaker for the team. Adding Noah Thomas to the mix on top of that would instantly give Georgia some game-changing receivers heading into next season, and they’ll likely look to add even more before it’s all said and done.
