The Falcons’ receiving core continues to take hits. A short time ago, Matt Ryan was throwing passes to a trio of Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, and Russell Gage. Now, all three are gone. Jones was traded last offseason, Ridley was suspended for the entirety of the 2022 season, and Gage is joining the Buccaneers.
Per NFL League source.. Former Falcons WR Russell Gage is signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Gage gets 3 years and $30-million, $20-million guaranteed

Gage is just 26-years-old and will now be catching passes from Tom Brady. He’ll be a safety valve from the slot in the short-to-intermediate area of the field.
Gage quickly became the Falcons’ top wideout after being relegated to special teams at the start of his career. He started slowly in 2022 but quickly caught fire in the second half of the season. The deal is a little rich for my blood, but it seems the receiver market is on fire this offseason.
With only Olamide Zaccheaus and Frank Darby on the roster, the Falcons have some serious work to do when it comes to bolstering the receiving core.
