The Falcons have a massive decision to make next month about whether they will select a quarterback in the draft. During Terry Fontenot’s press conference on Wednesday morning, the former Saints executive told members of the media that even though they’re excited about Marcus Mariota, the team will continue to add to the quarterback room.
Fontenot: Excited about Marcus Mariota but they are going to continue to add to the quarterback room. Said they'll look into every area.
With receivers, said they have work to do with pro players before they get to a draft.
They are headed to Ole Miss Pro Day today.

We assume he means taking a quarterback in the draft, but it wouldn’t be shocking if the Falcons signed a veteran on a team-friendly deal to be the backup. Falcons fans can expect an acquisition made because of the sheer numbers of quarterbacks on the team — Mariota and Feleipe Franks. Sure, it could be a rookie first-rounder who is supposed to be the future face of the franchise, but it could also be a less inspiring name, like Josh Rosen. During the entire press conference, Fontenot and Smith gave quintessentially PR answers, so this could mean anything.
