The Falcons search for their next head coach appears to be wide open. Several candidates are set to interview for a second time, while one already has in Bill Belichick, and others, like Mike Vrabel, get prepared to interview for the first time. It was reported over the weekend that the Falcons would interview Vrabel, and today, we learned it will be on Wednesday and it will be in person.
NFL league source tells me the Falcons are set to have an in-person interview with Mike Vrabel on Wednesday

Mike Vrabel was shockingly fired this offseason after the Titans went 6-11 this season following a 7-10 2022 campaign. However, to put the blame on the head coach would be foolish.
Ryan Tannehill, who the Titans handed a four-year, $118 million contract, has only appeared in 20 games over the last two seasons. That would be difficult for any head coach to overcome. Prior to the last two seasons, Mike Vrabel led the Titans to the postseason in three straight years. Tennessee was the #1 seed in the AFC in 2021 and made it to the AFC Championship in 2019.
Vrabel is a no-nonsense head coach that is highly regarded around the league. He always gets the most out of his teams and would be an incredible hire if he’s interested in coming to Atlanta. One potential obstacle for both parties, however, could be his relationship with Arthur Smith, who was just fired by the Falcons. Wherever Vrabel goes next, he very well could prefer to bring on Smith, and I’m not sure that’s ever happened in the league before.
