The Falcons have a slew of head coaching candidates that are awaiting their second interview.
Before Brian Callahan and the Titans agreed to a deal, the club had a second interview scheduled, and the same could happen with Jim Harbaugh and the Chargers. Â However, the Falcons do have several interviews scheduled to meet with candidates for the second time that will happen.
Atlanta came away very impressed with a crop of assistants and coordinators, who are still coaching in the postseason — Aaron Glenn, Ben Johnson, Anthony Weaver, and Mike Macdonald — to go along with Bobby Slowik, who Steve Wyche said the Falcons were very impressed with.
Some details for a couple of those interviews were recently revealed. According to Tom Pelissero, the Falcons are sending contingents to Detroit next week to meet with the pair of Lions coordinators.
The #Commanders and #Falcons are both expected to send a contingent to Detroit next week to conduct second interviews with #Lions OC Ben Johnson and DC Aaron Glenn, per sources.
No more interviews are permitted with coaches still in the playoffs until after Sunday's games.

As the Lions prepare to travel west to San Francisco to take on the 49ers, Aaron Glenn and Ben Johnson will have difficult tasks at hand. Glenn will have to stop Kyle Shanahan’s offense, while Johnson will prepare to move the ball on Steve Wilks and the Niners’ defense.
Johnson is atop most teams’ lists with a vacancy. The work he’s done with Jared Goff and the skill group in Detroit should have everyone salivating, especially folks in Atlanta. The Falcons have a similar set of skill position players as the Lions, and the hope is Johnson could finally maximize their potential, a failure of Arthur Smith.
Perhaps Gelnn’s most attractive attribute is how well he connects to players. He recently received more votes than any coordinator in the NFL in an NFLPA poll, which polled 1,700 players, to find the most liked coordinator in the league.
So, the Falcons really couldn’t go wrong with either Lions coordinators.
