The Falcons are dealing with a slew of key pieces that are banged up heading into Sunday’s Week 11 matchup with the Denver Broncos, and a new name has just been added to the list.
Per ESPN’s Field Yates, Darnell Mooney was a limited participant in practice Thursday as he’s dealing with an Achilles injury.
Of course, anytime the word Achilles is followed right after by injury, it raises concern. Hopefully, this is nothing more than precautionary, like we saw with Grady Jarrett ahead of the Saints game, who also hurt his Achilles but was available the following week.
Darnell Mooney has been a godsend for Atlanta this season, already having recorded 46 catches for 684 yards and five touchdowns. He’s been the perfect complement to go with Drake London, and with a big second half, Mooney could find himself in the Pro-Bowl for the first time in his career.
