The Falcons are fresh off their biggest win of the season, breaking the Saints will at the line of scrimmage on their way to the top of the NFC South.
Arthur Smith’s squad should feel terrific after their performance in Week 12. It wasn’t always pretty, but a win over a division rival, especially after everything that transpired the three weeks prior, deserves to be celebrated. However, there’s no room for the Falcons to take their foot off the gas as they head to New York to take on the Jets.
The Jets may feature one of the worst offenses to ever take an NFL field, now led by Tim Boyle. But they do have four wins on the season, including a victory over the Eagles, and they also gave the Chiefs all they could handle earlier in the season.
The Falcons aren’t talented enough to look past anyone, and with just six games left in the season, this matchup certainly feels like one where they need to take care of business on the road. On the latest episode of SportsTalkATL, former Falcons quarterback D.J. Shockley discusses how this team can avoid a letdown against the lowly Jets.
