The Falcons and Eagles will both be down critical pieces tonight on Monday Night Football. Atlanta will be without Nate Landman, while Philly will be without A.J. Brown.
Landman is a thumper of a linebacker, a throwback of sorts. His presence, especially against a physical running offense like the Eagles, will be missed sorely. Fortunately, linebacker is one of the deepest position groups on Atlanta’s depth chart. Troy Andersen and Kaden Elliss are more than enough; after all, they started in Week 1.
On the flip side of things, Brown’s absence could really handicap the Eagles offense. Rookie Johnny Wilson is questionable, which would leave Philly’s offense down to three healthy wideouts in DeVonta Smith, Jahan Dotson, and Britain Covey. Of course, they could elevate Parris Campbell from the practice squad but suffice to say, they’ll miss Brown.
The Falcons will look to prove that Week 1 was a fluke on offense but wasn’t on defense. Against Vic Fangio and the Eagles defense, Zac Robinson and Kirk Cousins will have a tall task tonight. On the flip side, Jimmy Lake and Atlanta’s defense will have a difficult challenge with Philly’s offense too, led by Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley.
