The Falcons have been labeled as a darkhorse in the sweepstakes for Deshaun Watson, but reports continue to surface that paint Atlanta as serious contenders. Whether a trade comes to fruition remains up in the air, but the wake of free agents that could follow Watson to whichever city he ends up in is tantalizing.
Meanwhile, so many good guys left out there.
A few told me today they're "low-key" waiting on Deshaun Watson to make his decision…

Josina Anderson doesn’t say which free agents are waiting on Watson to make his decision, but rumors have suggested Will Fuller and Allen Robinson are two, in particular, that are waiting. IF (BIG IF) the Falcons somehow land Watson, the move could completely reshape the team.
With free agents chomping at the bit to play with a signal caller of Watson’s caliber, they’d surely take a below-market deal to come to Atlanta, which they’d have to given the Falcons’ salary cap problems. However, the compensation may just completely wipe Atlanta’s roster of what little talent remains — Kyle Pitts, Grady Jarrett, AJ Terrell, Chris Lindstrom, etc. Reports have suggested that Houston seeks three first-rounders and additional compensation — either later picks or players.
However, Josina Anderson reported that the specifics might be more flexible.
I’m told tonight the compensation ask for a Deshaun Watson trade has not varied even with recent developments, so far. The #Texans are still seeking ‘5-6 premium assets’ to consummate a deal. A league source added, “they’ve remained firm but fair in discussions.”

The Texans could be open to receiving any combination of players and picks. If this is the case, the Falcons could propose a competitive offer compared to the Saints, Panthers, and Browns.
