The wheels are peddling fast around the league. This might be one of the craziest quarterback offseasons in NFL history. Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Russell Wilson, Deshaun Watson; I mean, the list goes on and on of quarterbacks dominating headlines for one reason or the other.
The Falcons have recently been viewed as a dark horse in the Deshaun Watson sweepstakes. Adam Schefter’s original report was met with skepticism, but ESPN’s Dianna Russini reported that Watson has legitimate interest in playing for the Falcons. Atlanta is set to meet with Watson today, bringing with them an elaborate presentation to convince the native Georgian to come home.
Things could move quickly on that front, but this kind of move would create quite the mess inside the building. The Falcons would immediately have to pivot to find a suitor for Matt Ryan. According to Adam Schefter, the Colts and Seahawks could be landing spots for Ryan if the Falcons did acquire Watson.
Rumors: #Colts and #Seahawks could be landing spots for QB Matt Ryan in the event that Atlanta acquires Deshaun Watson, per @AdamSchefter

In the same week that Braves fans said goodbye to the face of their franchise in Freddie Freeman, Falcons fans could end up doing the same. Saying farewell to Matt Ryan will be difficult. He’s been the quintessential quarterback, leader, and man a franchise desires in their signal caller. The move would be met with scrutiny and judged over time, but one thing is true, the Falcons are serious in their pursuit of Deshaun Watson.
