The best thing the NFL has done in the last decade is allowing clubs to have more than one helmet, prompting many to bring back classic throwbacks, and the Falcons have one of the sexiest combinations in the league.
The red helmet is one of the best things the Falcons have done to their uniform, and essentially everyone with a brain loves it. There are a few contrarians who choose to hate things that everyone loves, but we don’t need those people in our lives.
Fans and football lovers aren’t alone either. Players love them too. Chris Lindstrom said that he loves them and it’s a cool way to honor the different generations of the Falcons too.
#Falcons RG Chris Lindstrom on the RED HELMETS: “I love them. I know you’re mixed reviews. I love them. I think the throwback uniforms are awesome. It’s always kind of cool… I think it’s cool just to honor the different generations of Falcons, too." pic.twitter.com/LfOfO1ykMK

Tommy Nobis and the ’60s Falcons didn’t win much when they donned the red helmets for the first time, but the lids are forever enshrined in Falcons lure. The throwbacks are the best jerseys the Falcons have ever had, and there’s no sense in beating around the bush anymore.
D Led’s entire rationale for not liking them is because Nobis’ Falcons didn’t win at all with them. That’s a hilariously tone-deaf opinion, but fans have gotten used to that with D Led.
The Falcons will wear the red helmets and throwback threads for the final time this week against the Saints in what is a must-win game for the Dirty Birds. It will either have them in first place of the NFC South or three games under .500 on track for another 7-10 finish. The season hangs in the balance; that’s not an exaggeration.
