Chargers sign Pro Bowler away from Falcons

The Falcons presumably have all their big guns in Houston convincing Deshaun Watson to come home to Atlanta, but there are still people working in the front office on the free agency front. The team re-signed Younghoe Koo to a lucrative, multi-year deal that made him the second-highest-paid kicker in the league, but the Falcons had another core special teamer up for a new contract — Josh Harris.

According to Tom Pelissero, Atlanta will say goodbye to their long-time long snapper. The Chargers handed Harris a four-year deal worth $5.6 million.

The Falcons have lost Russell Gage, Foye Oluokun, and now Harris. The 32-year-old was one of two Falcons to make the Pro Bowl in 2021, but obviously, losing Harris isn’t as devastating as Oluokun or Gage. Still, it’s just another vacant position the Falcons have to fill this offseason.
