The Georgia Bulldogs aren’t just elite at acquiring and developing talent, but the program is also consistently returning NFL-eligible prospects. Nick Chubb and Sony Michel returned for one more season, almost delivering the Dawgs a National Championship in 2017. Jordan Davis, Quay Walker, and Devonte Wyatt returned and did bring Athens a title. Then it was Nolan Smith and Christopher Smith who returned, helping the Dawgs to back-to-back championships. And now, Sedrick Van Pran will come back in hopes of helping UGA be the first college football team to three-peat.

Many people would tell you that quarterback, cornerback, pass rusher, pass catcher, and offensive tackle are the premium positions in today’s NFL. They’d be right, but an often forgotten position that deserves to be mentioned with that group is center — the quarterback of the offensive line.
A great center can cover up a lot of other deficiencies along the offensive line, and the 6’3.5″, 305-pound Van Pran is that kind of player. As talented as he is physically, he’s equally as impressive between the ears. Sedrick Van Pran was considered one of the top centers in the 2023 NFL draft and primed to be a top pick but will return to Athens and help the Georgia Bulldogs chase a third ring and potentially raise his draft stock even more.
