Ahead of tomorrow’s tilt on Thursday Night Football against the Falcons, the Buccaneers ruled out six players, including a few starters, one being All-Pro safety Antoine Winfield.
Tampa also ruled out Luke Goedeke, Calijah Kancey, Jalen McMillan, Trey Palmer, and SirVocea Dennis, who was placed on the injured reserve.
Bowles says five players are ruled out for Falcons game — T Luke Goedeke, DL Calijah Kancey, S Antoine Winfield, WR Jalen McMillan, WR Trey Palmer. And LB SirVocea Dennis on IR, so down six on a short week.

Those are a handful of key players for the Buccaneers, with Windfield headlining the group. The All-Pro safety is considered among the best players at his position in the league, along with the Falcons own Jessie Bates III. Without Winfield roaming Tampa’s backend, Kirk Cousins should feel a little more comfortable taking deep shots.
In that same breath, without Kancey rushing the passer from the interior, Cousins should have more time to throw the ball. However, the Falcons are dealing with a few banged-up stars of their own.
Troy Andersen hasn’t practiced Monday or Tuesday as he nurses a knee injury, which is terrible timing considering his breakout performance last week against the Saints.
Fortunately, the other three players — Ray-Ray McCloud III (ankle), Kaleb McGary (knee), and Bijan Robinson (hamstring) — practiced in a limited capacity on Monday and Tuesday. We should know more by the end of the today ahead of the Falcons third primetime game of the season.
