The Braves will be perennial World Series contenders for the better part of the next decade because of Alex Anthopoulos’ work locking up the club’s core of All-Stars. And according an MLB The Show 2023 simulation, Atlanta will bring home its second Commissioner’s Trophy over the last three years this fall. In their simulation for the upcoming season, they have the Braves knocking off its biggest rivals, Dodgers and Mets, en route to beating the Astros in six games.
MLB The Show 23 simulated the upcoming season to predict its outcomes.
In the simulation, the Braves won the World Series, beating Dana Brown’s Houston Astros, 4-2, after winning the NL East and defeating the Mets and Dodgers en route to the Fall Classic.

Braves Country probably couldn’t write a better script. Knocking off the team’s division rivals in New York and Freddie Freeman‘s club in Los Angeles, then beating Houston for the second time. It would be poetic.
The World Series might be the most challenging championship in sports to win, though. The best team doesn’t always raise the Commissioner’s Trophy at the end; it’s about finding a way into the dance and getting hot at the right time. The Braves’ 2021 and 2022 campaigns are perfect examples.
The club was a significantly better all-around team last season compared to 2021, but it was the 2021 group that came into October scorching hot, which is why they ended up bringing Atlanta its first World Series since 1995.
The Braves have as good of a chance as any club to be crowned kings of the MLB in 2023; hopefully, MLB The Show’s simulation is closer to reality than a video game.
