After Chase provided a report that Marcell Ozuna’s market was heating up and another one about possible traction towards a universal DH, we posed an interesting question on Twitter:
One of the more interesting things about Ozuna is that unlike with Donaldson, I feel like nobody is name dropping interested teams. Obviously Atlanta… but everything else has just been speculation

Jon Morosi reported that both AL and NL teams are interested.
#HotStove update: Marcell Ozuna’s market has begun to take shape in recent days, with source saying both AL and NL teams are involved despite uncertainty over DH rule across #MLB. Some clubs are comfortable with him as an everyday left fielder. @MLBNetwork

Chelsea also named a bevy of other clubs earlier this week that could make a play for Ozuna — Braves (who have acknowledged wanting him to return), Blue Jays, Giants, Mets, Rockies, Astros, Mariners, Nationals, and Reds. However, for the most part, I’ve yet to see any specific teams linked to the Big Bear… until today.

I’ll be honest; I don’t know a lick of Spanish. However, I don’t even need to use the translate button to realize he’s saying that the Yankees and Dodgers are negotiating with Marcell Ozuna.
Rojas may not be verified on Twitter, but he’s a legitimate reporter with ties to the Dominican Republic, where Ozuna is from, so this report carries some weight, which won’t be music to the ears of many Braves fans. The Yankees and Dodgers obviously have much deeper pockets than Atlanta, and if this becomes a bidding war, the Braves will likely lose out.
Surely other teams are involved, but it has been a tight ship as far as negotiations go. Hopefully, the Braves can find a way to bring him back to Atlanta, but if they can’t, let’s pray he doesn’t end up in Dodger Blue. What a nightmare that would be…
