Late in the night right before the calendar switched to July, the Braves made a trade with the Red Sox for a right-handed reliever.
The Atlanta #Braves today acquired RHP Silvino Bracho from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for cash considerations.

Silvino Bracho last appeared in the majors in 2020 for the Diamondbacks. For his entire career, he boasts a pedestrian 4.82 ERA over 92 appearances. However, he’s put some pretty solid numbers up in AAA for the Red Sox, recording a 3.16 ERA and 10.3 K/9 in 31.1 innings. Bracho also was lights out last year in the Venezuelan Winter League.
This move is primarily for organizational depth. Hopefully, guys start to get healthy and the 29-year-old Bracho can be stashed in Gwinnett. But with nearly half the bullpen on the IL, Bracho could be needed until reinforcements arrive.
