The Braves announced several promotions throughout their farm system today. Most notably, right-hander Darius Vines is set to join the Gwinnett Stripers after impressing in Mississippi.
Hearing that Darius Vines is heading to the @GoStripers at Triple-A. Has been dominating Double-A of late. Really good offspeed stuff…only real question is if the fastball will consistently play.

The 24-year-old Vines has been electric of late in AA, recording a minuscule 1.17 ERA over five starts in July.
Congratulations to M-Braves starter Darius Vines (@legendarius4). He was named the Southern League Pitcher of the Month for July!

For the season, Vines has a 3.95 ERA, but his recent success, combined with his high strikeout rate and low walk rate, provides optimism that he could be close to contributing at the major-league level. Vines is currently the Braves’ 10th ranked prospect, according to MLB.com.Â
