Most Braves fans have been asking for it for a few games now, but Brian Snitker finally caved and switched up the lineup for Game 6 against the right-handed Luis Garcia. Most notably, Ozzie Albies has been moved from third to seventh.

Jorge Soler slots in at second, Freddie Freeman moves back to his traditional third spot, and Joc Pederson has been bumped up to sixth. Albies, who put together one of the best seasons ever for a second baseman, hasn’t been the same guy in the postseason. He’s recorded just a .576 OPS in the playoffs and is hitting .205 since Game 2 of the NLCS.
Waiting to see if the Braves move Albies down the lineup today. He has has a .576 OPS this postseason and he's hit .205 going back to Game 2 of the NLCS. His average exit velocity during the postseason has been 83.5 mph. It was 89.5 mph during the regular season.

Despite the slump, I do understand why Brian Snitker took so long to make this move. First and foremost, the team has been winning, and they caught fire at the end of the season when Albies moved from the leadoff spot to the three-hole. Still, it’s time for things to be shuffled around. Albies clearly isn’t his typical self at the moment, but perhaps hitting lower in the order will help him get going. If it does, he could be the catalyst that carries them to their first World Series since 1995.
