It was reported yesterday that Mike Soroka had aggravated his groin, and his first start would be pushed back a bit to begin Spring Training. On Sunday’s broadcast against the Tigers, Brian Snitker went as far as to say he does not even consider it a setback, and that the team still expects Soroka to be able to log the necessary innings to enter the season.
If Braves fans still had any fears after Snit’s reassurance, they can put them to bed now. Soroka threw live BP this morning, and said he “felt great” and “like himself”:

This is fantastic news for the Braves as well as Soroka, who figures to be the Opening Day starter. Soroka added he expects to pitch in a game this week, likely on Friday or Saturday.
Breathe, Braves fans.
