The Braves added to their bench Sunday morning, agreeing to a contract with Jake Lamb.

Lamb looked like he was on his way to stardom with the Diamondbacks, even making the All-Star game in 2017, a season in which he hit 30 homers and 30 doubles with 105 RBIs. However, he hasn’t been the same since.
Lamb only played 134 games combined in 2018-2019, recording just a .208 batting average and .665 OPS, and after a miserable start to his 2020 campaign, the Diamondbacks designated him for assignment. He did land on his feet with the A’s, though, hitting .267 with an .882 OPS and three homers in 45 at-bats. Hopefully, that’s the guy the Braves are getting because Lord knows they desperately need some juice off the bench.
