In baseball’s biggest news of the day… the Braves inked veteran infielder Ehire Adrianza to a minor-league contract.

Adrianza has been in the league for eight years — most recently, with the Twins. He played in 44 games last season, but he’s not known for his stick, hitting just .191 with no homers in 101 plate appearances. His calling card is his defensive versatility, as he can play anywhere on the diamond from shortstop to the outfield. The Braves will give him a chance to compete for a roster spot in spring training, but most likely, Adrianza will serve as organizational depth in case of injuries.
