Just like the beginning of the 2021 season, the Braves can’t seem to have anything nice. Following easily the most electric win of 2022 — a walk-off over the Phillies from down one in the ninth — it was announced before Wednesday’s game that Ronald Acuña has been scratched from the lineup with right quad tightness.

It’s very likely this is just precautionary. After tearing his ACL last year and already straining his groin early this season, the Braves aren’t going to take any chances with Acuña. We’ll keep you updated as more news becomes available, but there’s a chance tonight’s game is postponed because of rain. Usually, I would never cheer for such a thing, but a rainout may be in the best interest of the Braves.
MLB.com’s Mark Bowman added an update. Acuña is day-to-day.
Acuña woke up feeling sore today. His right quad was still sore when he ran the bases today. So, instead of risking anything in these wet conditions, the Braves opted to scratch him. He's day-to-day.
