With a huge lead in last Sunday’s matchup with the Phillies, the Braves were able to pull Ronald Acuña from the game with hamstring tightness. Out of an abundance of caution, they chose not to play him in Boston either. But after an off day on Thursday, he is active for today’s double-header against the Washington Nationals.
Ronald Acuña will return to the #Braves lineup today.

Even with everything that has gone against the Braves so far in 2020, they are somehow still 2.5 games up on the Phillies for first-place in the NL East. A couple of nagging injuries have kept Ronald Acuña from putting up the MVP-caliber numbers we are accustomed to, but that will not matter as long as he’s healthy down the stretch and into the playoffs. The Braves also announced that Patrick Weigel will be the team’s 29th man for today’s double-header. Hopefully, that means we will see him make his MLB debut in one of the two games.
The #Braves have appointed RHP Patrick Weigel as the 29th man for today’s doubleheader.
