To the surprise of nobody, Ronald Acuña Jr. was playing through an injury during the NLCS against the Dodgers.

Acuña was clearly not himself, and it’s ridiculous he was even injured in the first place. I remember the exact play that he re-injured his wrist on — he beat out an infield hit after a missed ball four call. Umpire incompetence might have cost the Braves the series against the Dodgers.
Acuña’s .560 OPS and zero home runs are something that is not typical of a healthy Ronald. He did manage two doubles and five walks, but he struck out six times in 24 at-bats. Acuña was getting under pitches, but it was evident that something wasn’t right. I didn’t want to comment on his performance for that reason; this guy is a warrior and gave it all he could.
