Once again, the Braves are off to a lackadaisical start to the season. Some might call it a World Series hangover, but this has become par for the course for this team over the years. They could use a boost, and a pretty significant one appears to be on its way.
Ronald Acuña is set to begin his rehab assignment tomorrow in AAA Gwinnett.

Several reports have suggested the Braves are targeting an early May return for Acuña, but I could see it actually being sooner than that. If Acuña doesn’t miss a beat in Gwinnett, there will be no reason for the Braves to keep him there for long. His bat is desperately needed in the lineup, but they could use him in the outfield as well. The Braves outfield defense has been brutal to watch so far this season. Unfortunately, Acuña will begin as the DH, and it will be at least a few weeks before the team puts him back in the field.
