The Braves boast a .900 OPS as a team in the month of June. There are literally no holes in the lineup, and it all starts at the top with Ronald Acuna Jr., and the 2022 version is the best we’ve ever seen.
The Braves superstar was clearly hampered by his ACL injury last year, putting up more than respectable numbers for an average player but subpar compared to what he’d accomplished prior to the injury.
Now, he’s on his way to capturing the MVP as well as a number of franchise records:
Braves single season run record: Dale Murphy (1983)- 131
Hit record: Ralph Garr (1971)- 219
Doubles record: Marcus Giles (2003)- 49
Stolen Bases: Otis Nixon (1991)- 72
Ronald Acuña Jr is on pace for 141 R, 217 H, 48 doubles, & 74 SB. He might rewrite several Braves records.

Not only is he on pace to become the first player in league history to eclipse 30 home runs and 60 steals, but the Venezuelan phenom will challenge several club records.
For a franchise as illustrious as the Braves, this is wildly impressive. What can I even say that already hasn’t? He’s your favorite player’s favorite player. Kids in the ballpark imitate Ronald Acuna Jr.; he’s effortlessly the coolest player in baseball.
And what’s even crazier — he’s just entering his prime. To this point, he’s been getting by on pure talent alone. Now, we are seeing what he can do when he puts it together above the shoulders.
He might not go down as the greatest player in Braves history, but Acuna is undoubtedly the most talented player in franchise history. We are in the golden years of Braves baseball, with what could be the greatest player in team history.
