In his first game back since tearing his ACL on July 10th, Acuna flashed the pop that he’s become infamous for since he made his major-league debut, smashing a double off the right-center field wall in his second at-bat. He didn’t have a moment like that in Game 2, going 0-for-3 with a strikeout. However, he did walk and show off the speed, stealing a base and scoring the only run of the game for the Stripers.

Overall, Acuna’s first two rehab starts have been impressive. He’s looked fine in the field, and the fact that the organization is even willing to let him steal at this point speaks volumes. Acuna seems well ahead of schedule, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw him in Atlanta at some point next week.
